Tingalayo is an exclusive use rental. Whether you are a group of 12 or a group of 2, the entire property is rented for your use. Unlike other villas, we do not rent the main house area to one group and the guest house to another.
During high season, Tingalayo is rented for a minimum of a full week with arrival and departure on Saturdays. Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival and departure is by 10am on the last day of your stay.
During off season, it may be possible to rent for fewer than 7 nights and have a change in arrival and departure days, however full week reservations will take priority and the per nightly rate will be higher. You may contact us for a quote.
Two staff members are included in the rental. Maid service covers cleaning the kitchen, dining areas and based upon requirements the bedrooms and bathrooms. A gardener looks after the swimming pools, terraces, paths and gardens.
Tingalayo is a self-catering rental. Private arrangements can be made for personal chef services.
Tingalayo was created as a family home and we wish to retain a family atmosphere for the quiet enjoyment of everyone. Guests shall be sufficiently quiet and peaceful so as not to disturb other residents of the neighborhood.
The maximum occupancy of Tingalayo at any time is 12 persons. No house parties or functions such as weddings, photo shoots or business receptions are allowed without prior written permission. If permission is given there will be an additional event fee to cover the cost of the additional wear and tear on the property. Our Property Concierge is available to discuss any questions you may have regarding events and receptions.
Tingalayo requires that you provide a list of all guests and their ages three weeks prior to arrival. An executed waiver will be required for any guest under the age of 18.
Tingalayo is a non-smoking property. We do not allow for the furniture to be moved or rearranged. Mattresses are not allowed to be placed on the floor.
Tingalayo does have a resident cat but no other pets are allowed without prior written approval.

A deposit of half of your rent will be due immediately upon execution of the e-contract. Your booking is not reserved until both the deposit and e-contract have been received. The remaining rent, Government Hotel tax, service charge and refundable security deposit are due 60 days prior to arrival. Failure to pay the balance 60 days prior to arrival will cause the reservation to be canceled and the deposit will be forfeited. We strongly recommend the purchase of Travel Insurance as all deposits and monies paid are nonrefundable. Our Payment and Cancellation Policies are more fully covered in the contract.
In addition to the rental rate there is a 10% BVI Hotel tax, a 10% service charge and a $1,000 refundable security deposit.
